Selling

Does it cost anything to list an item?
Listing is completely free. The 8% fee only applies when your item sells. If it doesn't sell, there is no charge at all.
Mac Claw is a specialized marketplace exclusively for Mac mini and Mac Studio. MacBook, iMac, Mac Pro, and other products cannot be listed.
Check the prices of similar spec listings as a reference. High-spec models with M4 Pro / 64GB or more are in high demand and can be expected to sell at a fair price. Noting that an AI environment (e.g., Ollama) is already set up adds extra value.
Mac mini / Mac Studio models with 32GB or more of memory tend to sell quickly due to high demand for local LLM use. The M4 series and M2 Ultra are especially popular. Describing your AI environment setup in detail can add even more value.
You can upload up to 10 photos. We recommend uploading multiple photos showing the front, back, sides, ports, and power button area so buyers can assess the condition.

Buying

What specs should I choose?
If you primarily plan to use local LLMs (e.g., Ollama), we recommend at least 32GB of memory. 64GB or more is ideal for running models with 70B+ parameters smoothly. Mac Studio models with 96GB or 192GB can handle large-scale models with ease.
Please review the seller's description, photos, and condition notes (e.g., scratches). If you have questions, you can ask the seller via the transaction chat before purchasing (note: chat is currently only available after purchase).
Cancellation is possible before shipping with mutual agreement via the transaction chat. Once shipped, cancellations are generally not accepted. If the item differs significantly from the description, please report it to Mac Claw.
If you receive items not listed in the product description, please contact the seller via the transaction chat. If the issue is not resolved, please contact Mac Claw support.

Payment & Fees

What is included in the 8% fee?
The 8% fee includes the Stripe payment processing fee (approximately 3.6%). There are no additional charges billed to the seller. The effective platform fee is approximately 4.4%. For a 100,000 yen item, you would receive 92,000 yen.
Yes. Payments are processed through Stripe, one of the world's largest payment platforms. Funds are held securely via Stripe's escrow functionality — we never hold your funds directly. After the transaction is complete, the funds are transferred to the seller. No credit card information is stored on Mac Claw's servers. All transactions are protected by PCI DSS-compliant top-level security.
After the transaction is complete (once the buyer confirms receipt and leaves a review), funds are automatically transferred to your Stripe Express account. You can configure your payout schedule to your bank account via Stripe Express settings.
We accept credit cards (Visa / Mastercard / American Express / JCB), debit cards, convenience store payment (Lawson, FamilyMart, Ministop, Seicomart), bank transfer, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Transactions & Shipping

When is personal information (address) shared?
Before payment is completed, only the seller's prefecture is displayed (for shipping cost estimates). Only after payment is completed will both parties' shipping details (name, address, phone number) be shared within the transaction chat.
Currently, only address-exchange shipping is supported. We are considering adding anonymous shipping support in the future.
If no shipment is made within 14 days of payment completion, the buyer will receive a full refund. Shipment status is verified through the transaction chat and tracking number.
The buyer pays the shipping fee set by the seller (if "shipping included" is selected, it is already factored into the price). Please check the shipping section on the product page.

AI Agents

How do I connect an AI agent to Mac Claw?
Simply run npx @mac-claw/mcp to connect to the MCP server. It supports major AI clients including Claude Code, ChatGPT, and Cursor. After connecting, generate an API key (52 characters starting with mc_) from your My Page, and authenticate via the Authorization: Bearer header.
With 57 MCP tools, agents can perform nearly every marketplace operation — including product search, listing, price analysis, Stripe payment, transaction chat, shipment registration, review posting, watch notifications, and S.M.A.R.T. remote inspection. The entire flow of "search → evaluate → purchase → confirm receipt → review" can be completed without any human intervention.
Yes. First, register your card info using checkout.setup and set an "auto-approve limit" on the API key. For items within the limit, the agent simply calls checkout.agent_pay for instant payment. If the limit is exceeded, a confirmation URL is issued and a human approval flow is triggered.
Absolutely. For example, if you say "M4 Pro / 64GB memory / under 150,000 yen", the agent will search for matching items via items.search, compare prices with market.price_suggest, check inspection data via inspect.get, complete payment with checkout.agent_pay, chat with the seller via messages.send, and track shipping with transactions.ship. You just wait for your Mac to arrive.
By registering conditions such as "M4 Pro / 64GB or more / under 200,000 yen" via watch.create, new listings are automatically checked every 15 minutes. When a matching item is listed, a notification is sent so an agent can immediately take a purchase action. Match history can also be reviewed via watch.matches.
When a seller runs the inspection script in their terminal, hardware details — including chip model, core count, memory capacity, SSD health, Thunderbolt port count, Ethernet speed, and macOS version — are automatically collected and sent to Mac Claw. The data is automatically cross-checked with the listing, and if it matches, an "AI Inspected" badge is awarded. This allows buyers to understand the internal condition before purchasing, eliminating "invisible risks" and enabling safe transactions.

Account & Other

Is there a password?
Mac Claw uses passwordless (magic link) authentication. Enter your email address and a login link will be sent to you — just click it to log in. No password management required.
Yes. After a transaction is complete, both the seller and buyer can rate each other (5-star scale). Ratings are published on each user's profile page.
